SYNOPSIS

Remove an OS boot image.

SYNTAX

SearchByValueMandatory (Default)

Remove-CMBootImage [-Force] -InputObject <IResultObject> [-DisableWildcardHandling] [-ForceWildcardHandling]
 [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]

SearchByIdMandatory

DESCRIPTION

Use this cmdlet to remove a Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE) OS boot image from Configuration Manager.

Note

Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>. For more information, see getting started.

EXAMPLES

Example 1: Remove a boot image by ID

This command removes the boot image with ID CM100004. You have to confirm the action.

Remove-CMBootImage -Id "CM100004" -Confirm

PARAMETERS

-DisableWildcardHandling

This parameter treats wildcard characters as literal character values. You can't combine it with ForceWildcardHandling.
