Suspend-DnsServerZone |
Suspends a zone on a DNS server.
Suspend-DnsServerZone [-Name] <String> [-ComputerName <String>] [-PassThru] [-Force]
[-CimSession <CimSession[]>] [-ThrottleLimit <Int32>] [-AsJob] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]
The Suspend-DnsServerZone cmdlet suspends a Domain Name System (DNS) zone. While suspended, the DNS server ignores all queries for the zone. Use the Resume-DnsServerZone cmdlet to resume a suspended zone.
PS C:\> Suspend-DnsServerZone west02.contoso.com -Verbose -PassThru -Force
This command suspends the zone west02.contoso.com. The command uses the PassThru parameter to create output and the Force parameter to skip the confirmation message.
