Add-DhcpServerv6OptionDefinition |
Adds a DHCPv6 option definition to a DHCP server service.
Add-DhcpServerv6OptionDefinition [-ComputerName <String>] [-OptionId] <UInt32> [-Type] <String>
[-Name] <String> [-MultiValued] [-Description <String>] [-VendorClass <String>] [-DefaultValue <String[]>]
[-PassThru] [-CimSession <CimSession[]>] [-ThrottleLimit <Int32>] [-AsJob] [-WhatIf] [-Confirm]
[<CommonParameters>]
The Add-DhcpServerv6OptionDefinition cmdlet adds a DHCPv6 option definition to a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server service that runs on the local or a remote computer.
PS C:\> Add-DhcpServerv6OptionDefinition -Name "Broadcast and Multicast Service Controller IPv6 Address" -OptionId 36 -Type "IPv6Address"
This example adds the Broadcast and Multi-cast Service Controller IPv6 Address option definition to the DHCPv6 server service.
Runs the cmdlet as a background job.
Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.
The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt.
You can continue to work in the session while the job completes.
To manage the job, use the *-Job
cmdlets.
To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet.
For more information about Windows PowerShell® background jobs, see about_Jobs.
