Clear-FileStorageTier |
Unpins a file from the specified storage tier.
Clear-FileStorageTier -FilePath <String> [-CimSession <CimSession[]>] [-ThrottleLimit <Int32>] [-AsJob]
[-WhatIf] [-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]
The Clear-FileStorageTier cmdlet unpins a file from the specified storage tier. If you unpin a file, it can move between tiers as appropriate for how often the file is accessed. You can pin, or add, a file to a storage tier by using the Set-FileStorageTier cmdlet.
PS C:\> Clear-FileStorageTier -FilePath "D:\DataFile06.txt"
This command removes the file D:\DataFile06.txt from a storage tier.
Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.
