Get started with Hyper-V on Windows Server

Applies to: Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2019, Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016

Use the following resources to set up and try out Hyper-V on the Server Core or GUI installation option of Windows Server 2022. But before you install anything, check the System Requirements for Windows Server and the System Requirements for Hyper-V.

• Download and install Windows Server

• Install the Hyper-V role on Windows Server

• Create a virtual switch for Hyper-V virtual machines

• Create a virtual machine in Hyper-V
