Microsoft Translator’s Document Translator allows you to translate your Word, PDF, PowerPoint, plain text or Excel documents quickly and easily. The Document Translator translates up to 2 million characters (roughly 650 pages) per month for free with a subscription to the Microsoft Translator API. For higher volumes you can upgrade to a paid subscription. Documents can be translated individually or in batches, with the original formatting intact, into all 50 languages supported by Microsoft Translator. Document Translator can be run from the command line as well.

Document Translator has several features designed with businesses and developers in mind:

  • Enable the no-trace option on your translated content by using your company’s no-trace enabled subscription
  • Connect to the Microsoft Translator Hub
  • Customize the Document Translator’s source code for your needs
  • Interactive use or command line operation for integration into batch workflows
  • Runs on Windows 7 and above
