crashes on iPad 1 when trying to save edit / adding new entry

On my iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1) I can't seem to save any edits or add new entries to my two databases. On both I have a key file set along with a high number of transformation rounds, however even reducing the transformation number doesn't help (tried setting of just 10,000 instead of the 3 million I had set initially).

While one databases was created with KeePassX (v2 Alpha 6), the other database was created in KeePass 2.26 and hasn't been opened in KeePassX at all.

I also tried closing out all apps and rebooting the device. The issue is still the same. The only time adding an entry works, if I create the database from within MiniKeePass.

The app is set up with a pass code in case that matters.

Might this be an issue one of the recent KeePass updates?
