Cannot open .kdbx file from many iOS apps #397
Comments
This has been researched and reported on the Google Drive site. Definitely a problems with the latest version of Google Drive. Functionality works fine in other apps like Dropbox, not an iOS problem. Revert back to previous version of Google Drive to fix. |
nbrhd, I disagree and have just checked the behaviour again. I stand by what I say: also in Dropbox and others. |
After the 8.4.x update the MiniKeePass didn’t showed up in the "open with" menu. So couldn’t import a database from Dropbox. |
I can confirm MichaelLoow's workaround. Thank you. Still needs fixing, though, I think. |
I tried to perform MichaelLoow's workaround, but when I try to export the new database from within MiniKeePass, I get the error: "There are no applications installed capable of importing KeePass files". I have the latest DropBox and MiniKeePass apps installed, and I'm running iOS 8.4.1 on an iPhone 6. |
Is there any update on this? MiniKeePass still don't seem to be able to work together with Dropbox on the iPhone 6 (latest iOS). |
This renders MiniKeePass pretty much useless for many of its users.
As reported with #376 many people cannot open a .kdbx file from Google Drive. It also doesn't work from Dropbox or iOS Mail or iOS Safari for me.
The option to open files 'with MiniKeePass' is gone and also not available from the many '...' buttons.
Since this is across apps I would assume it's either MKP not registering correctly as a handler for those files or an iOS 8.4.1 bug, but not in any of the third party apps individually.
What can I help to solve this?
