MO2 has certain connection issues on my machine which it didn't have before, I'm using version 2.5 but even downgrading to the version I used before didn't fix it.
When I open MO2 it immediately prints an error in the log saying "[2024-04-27 15:28:51.382 E] [github.cpp:170] Github: request for https://api.github.com/repos/Modorganizer2/modorganizer/releases failed, Proxy connection refused (QNetworkReply::UnknownNetworkError)". And when I try to connect to nexus "Nexus closed the connection. A firewall mig...".
And when I enter the api key manually "Proxy connection refused" and in the log "nexus: Proxy connection refused".
To Reproduce:
1-Get a clean install of MO2
2-Create an instance like normal for any game
3-Having problems with connecting to nexus and receiving updates etc...
Environment:
Mod Organizer Version that exhibits the issue: 2.4.2 - 2.5
Last Mod Organizer Version that did not exhibit the issue (if applicable): None
Desktop OS/version used to run Mod Organizer: windows 10 home
Details:
This issue happened without changing anything about my system or any other stuff, MO2 worked fine for me 7~9 months ago, I took a break from it and came back 5 days ago, and these issues started, and as I've said updating to 2.5 didn't help.
I'm not using any dns, vpn nor a proxy, my firewall isn't blocking MO2 either, tried disabling windows defender completely.
The most weird thing is that this issue CAN BE FIXED temporarily, if I go to settings, workarounds and turn "Use system http proxy" on and save the settings then go and turn it off again, it works normally for a while but then goes back to the same issues.
The proxy field in my system is also empty if that helps.
