Router Connections
-------------------
Here, for connecting two routers each other we have to use Serial DTE cable. Generally router's do not have Serial DTE cable ports. So, we need to plugin a module for router's to connect Serial DTE cable.
1. Turn off your Router's
2. Select HWIC-2T module from the MODULES sidebar
3. Drag and drop the HWIC-2T module to the router
4. Turn on your router
// Static Routing (Specific)
=============================
In a Specific Routing we can discover a particular network.
//Assign IP address in Router1
-------------------------------
Router>enable
Router#configure terminal
Router(config)#hostname Router1
Router1(config)#interface f0/0
Router1(config-if)#ip address 172.16.2.2 255.255.255.128
Router1(config-if)#no shutdown
Router1(config-if)#description Admin Department
Router1(config-if)#exit
Router1(config)#interface s0/3/0
Router1(config-if)#ip address 12.12.12.1 255.255.255.252
Router1(config-if)#no shutdown
Router1(config-if)#exit
//Assign IP Address in Router2
--------------------------------
Router>enable
Router#configure terminal
Router(config)#hostname Router2
Router2(config)#int f0/0
Router2(config-if)#ip address 172.16.1.2 255.255.255.0
Router2(config-if)#no shutdown
Router2(config-if)#description Sales Department
Router2(config-if)#exit
Router2(config)#interface f0/1
Router2(config-if)#description IT Department
Router2(config-if)#ip address 172.16.3.2 255.255.255.192
Router2(config-if)#no shutdown
Router2(config-if)#exit
Router2(config)#interface s0/3/1
Router2(config-if)#ip address 12.12.12.2 255.255.255.252
Router2(config-if)#no shutdown
Router2(config-if)#exit
// Specific Routing Configuration
==================================
Router1(config)#ip route 172.16.1.0 255.255.255.0 s0/3/0
Router2(config)#ip route 172.16.2.0 255.255.255.128 12.12.12.1
Note
-----
1. For connecting 2 Routers we just only need 2 valid ip addresses
2. Here, In Specific Routing we can use next hop address(12.12.12.0/30) or next hop interface(s0/3/0 or s0/3/1)
