we are a group working with data acquired from human patients with implanted Behnke-Fried Micro depth electrodes (Neuralynx Amplifier). For sorting we usually use Combinato but we want to explore the possibilities of Kilosort 2.5. The electrode bundles have 8 microwires of which we don't know the actual physical location. Each microwire has just one channel. So far we successfully loaded the raw data into Kilosort and ran the automatic clustering. But we used a default channel map provided by Kilosort.
Our question would concern the creation of a fitting channel map. As I understood you would need to know the relative position of the channels to one another? I failed so far. Does someone have experience with this?
Thank you so much in advance
