Description of bug

When adding an underage Mojang account to the new launcher, there is a help link to direct underage users to the steps they need to fulfill before they can use MultiMC. The link is now dead even though it was working as recently as earlier today. On a somewhat unrelated note, the page that this used to reference seemingly only said these steps were needed for accounts 16 (or perhaps it was under 16) and younger; however, the assiocated account in this case got the popup even though the age on the Microsoft account is 17; I'm unsure if this is a MultiMC issue or Microsoft issue.

MultiMC Popup

The link given in the popup: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360042649591

Screenshot of Minecraft Help Page

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add Microsoft account in MultiMC
  2. Follow the instructions to sign in
  3. After giving MultiMC permission to view some Microsoft details in the browser, a popup will appear informing the account is underage and that it could not be completed (see image in the description setting). The popup includes the now-dead link.

Suspected cause

Microsoft has likely updated the support link to a different URL.

Well, guess we'll have that for a while. Amazing.

I'm seeing some issues with my son's account. He migrated his account today and it moved to an existing Microsoft account without issue. But he's getting this error only while using the MultiMC launcher. He can use the Minecraft launcher without any issues. I'm not really sure how to resolve it since everything seems fine on the Microsoft account. I know it's not related to the bug of the dead link, but wondering if others are having this issue.

im a bit late but i had the same problem.
i solved it by going to microsoft.com and clicking on "your info" tab. then i changed the date so that i was an adult instead of a minor and then it worked

My son is turning 18 this month, so I am curious to see if this goes away once that happens. He's just been using the official Minecraft launcher in the meantime. It works fine for his basic settings. I was just surprised to see different behavior with MultiMC and the official launcher.
