Dear Multiverse Developers,

I can't get The End to work. I have an End world (which is working), world_The_End, that is correctly imported in MV. But when I try to use an End portal in my world_Survival, it doesn't bring me to The End. Instead, it spawns an Nether portal next to the End portal and it shoot me out of the Nether portal into the air. When I try to enter The End via my main world, world_Creative, it will spawn me on a small obsidian platform with no world and no dragon.

I've made a small video to illustrate the behavior that I'm experiencing:

Also, it seems all of my world ignore the gamemode, all the worlds are in SURVIVAL. It doesn't switch game modes when I switch worlds. Is this related or is it something else?

If you don't have NetherPortals installed, the end will only work for your main world (this is vanilla behavior).

NetherPortals aims to let you have multiple Nethers and Ends, however there are a few kinks I have to work out. It should be stable when the 2.3AB is released (shortly).

Please do not bump your issues. We get about 3 issues a day and I'm continually checking and reviewing all of them. If an issue hasn't been closed, we're aware of it and will respond.

Also: I'm not going to file this issue as a Bug (since the issue isn't really with Core, it's with NetherPortals)

Thank you for the support and the information. First of all, sorry for bumping.

I'll wait for 2.3 then...
But since the bukkit update, things have not been so smooth. I've been experiencing several problems with Multiverse:

  • Admin group is always in Survival, in every world, despite of having a negative permission node for bypassing
  • Teleport permissions per world are not working, only multiverse.access.* is working.

I wonder if the permission nodes are broken or if PermissionsEx is the culprit. I am thinking of switching to bPermissions instead. Why would the nodes not work with PEX? Do you recommend this in combination with Multiverse?

The current build is the 2.3 AB release candidate.

NOTE: This isn't really the place to ask about said things, but we don't really have any place either... I'm going to setup a google group like Bukkit has done for MV Announcements.

I updates to the RC (Build 484) for craftbukkit R3 but the portals are still not working. Are you aware of this of did you already know?

BTW my permissions issue's have been resolved, the only problem I'am still having are the portals...

I have almost the same issue, but I have some additional information as well.

On my server, I have 2 worlds with their own Nether and Ends. Both Ends work if I use /mvtp to reach them. However, like the OP, using The End portal in the normal world sets me on an obsidian platform in nothingness. HOWEVER, if you check the coords between where the /mvtp command sets you and where the End Portal sets you, you will find you can fly to the other set of coords. If you fly toward where /mvtp sets you, you will find the island and the dragon etc...

The problem is, The End Portals multiverse generates are dumping players within a 1000ish square block of the spawn point.

For the record, using latest bukkit and all multiverse mods of this date posted.

I got the same probleme as Ticondrius ...
I have tried changing the spawn and the like to no avail.

My server is having the same issues as Ticondrius. After creating an alternate end world through console command line and connecting portal to it; my standard end world teleports people to an obsidian platform in the middle of space with no land.

I tried stopping server, deleting the end world and restarting but the same issue returns.
I also removed the second end world and the portal association with it.

I was able to workaround this issue by setting the scale on The_End to 12. This moves the platform to a good location. I also had to manually create The_End for each world.

We are having this issue too. I did it as cnaude said and that at least improved it, the platform location ended up being right in the middle of the island though without any obsidian (my guess is the obsidian is inside the island and the safe spot is on top of the island).

Like doing this alot better than my other work around which was using world portal and using a switch!

I still have the issue if when going back home you pop up on your the_end X Y and Z cords in world. So still using a switch to bring players to either spawn or to the_end portal :S
Would love it if it would bring you back to your last bed...
