anyway to make the tab bar with non-selected item

I am trying to show a HomePageView with the tab bar not selected at the beginning.
User could then tap a tab bar button to select one of the tabs. And in each tab, there is also a button that could go back to the home page view. When go back to home page view, the tab bar will be non-selected again.
