Initial preview release for the OpenStudio Geometry Editor. This is an alpha release and should not be used for production work. Please try out the new editor and let us know what you think!

To try the editor simply open geometry_editor.html in a Chrome browser. The editor reads and writes a custom JSON format (schema here). The import_floorplan measure can be used to convert this format to an OpenStudio Model, OpenStudio 2.1.2 or greater is required to use this measure.

Major known issues:

• OpenStudio Geometry Editor currently only works in Chrome browser
• There are inaccuracies in the grid and map scaling
• Certain operations may result in bad polygon intersections that result in model corruption
• Automatic object naming is out of order and not intuitive
