If you search for "washington", LS won't find a book called "Washington's War". Even "washingtons" won't work. You have to search for "washington's".

Have you tried using an elision token filter? https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/analysis-elision-tokenfilter.html
