So, I'm working on an an approach that combines two elements:

  1. A world object with a branching tree of different possible stories
  2. A "storyteller" that chooses a path down that tree to create a story

I decided to write about zombies, because most zombie movies seem to have a pretty derivative plot already.

I don't think I hit my goal of 50k "human readable" words, but the basic idea seemed promising
