Vortex gets blurry #2428
Comments
EDIT: Summary, since this has been coming up more frequently again Vortex by default renders the UI with Hardware Acceleration through your GPU and is therefore affected by some global graphics settings made through your driver. Original post: I can't reproduce this atm. What's the resolution of your screen? Please try this:
|
Vortex Version: 0.16.10 The text/content of the manager seems "blurry" on both of my 1920x1080 monitors. It's almost out of focus. External file: tmp-16008A0qJaORH036E.7z Reported by: chapstickaddict |

I've had the same issue, disabling GPU rendering does indeed fix it for me. |
Vortex Version: 0.17.11 But, I also have in some critics! a) Blurred... Please add an option that disables this! Sometimes nothing is readable, because random parts of the window are blurred. This is extremely annoying and makes working with Vortex massively more difficult! Reported by: grw |
Some information because of the blurred problem! System: |
Try manually adding the vortex.exe to programs managed by the NVIDIA control panel, and turn off Anti aliasing. That should fix the problem for this and any other apps. |

@ASRSI I'm honestly not sure. I'm pretty sure it's a related to the NVIDIA drivers, because the problem appeared on several applications I use around the time I did a driver update. |
Debatable. We, as the Vortex devs can't do anything about it. We could disable gpu rendering for everyone but 99.99% of our users have no problem with it. What happens is that since Vortex (or electron rather) uses GPU acceleration for it's UI rendering (which is absolutely not unusual, Qt as used in MO does it too) the driver applies your fullscreen anti-alising settings to it. |
Thanks for the info! I just wondered that it only occurs with Vortex (on me). But after it went better, after I switched off AA in the NVidia driver, my consideration was whether it has to do with my graphics settings for my system in general. Maybe you should keep an eye on it if people have problems with what kind of system and what settings they use. |
Actually he's right, I have no idea how I managed to turn on global AA in my NVIDIA settings, that's not on by default. |

User2013 here... I originally commented on this issue back in December. I then had some computer and health issues and only recently returned to gaming and modding so i made an account. I am not sure what the issue with the blur was but when I re-downloaded Vortex the issue was gone. I'm sorry there is no closure on this as far as what caused it. |

I also have this issue and is 100 percent due to the settings in your nvidia control panel. I set my control panel to choose my graphic setting and it instantly fixed the Nexus buggy looking issue. Specifically if you want to keep your settings I modified my nvidia transparency to 4x samples and it corrected the issue. I hope this helps. This is not a big deal but a glitch in the driver compatibility perhaps. No need to roll back or change your drivers just a simple settings change. |

The window and all texts get blurry from time to time. I dont use windows scaling, so it shouldn't be a windows bug.
Any Idea?
