Not really so much a bug, but rather a dichotomy between object and ego descriptions.

Fine quality elvish slippers, hard-wearing but apparently weightless. These hefty boots add damage to every blow, but every step you take echoes through the dungeon, and all around you annoyed creatures advance to kill.
