Medtrum A6 CGM' has been superseded by A8 nano. Problem: A8 is currently not supported.

Requested support: Add support for Medtrum A8 nano

There is no alternative since this is a new input, not a function.

BACKGROUND

I have already discussed with Navid Fo who has asked me to open a request. This originally comes from a FB feed.

WHY IS THIS NEEDED?

  • Additional CGM adds potential users without complicating XDrip functionality
  • A8 is 'upgrade' over existing A6
  • Competitively priced for self funders - increased user accessibility (compared say G6 or Libre) UK2022
  • Single supplier so should be more robust connection and quality - (compared to FSL1 and separately engineered BT transponder work around)
  • Good quality signal (for SMB in AAPS) ??
  • Small

Is the sensor the same as mentioned in #504 (comment)? If yes, @jamorham could already have a sensor.
If not, is TouchCare® Nano CGM the correct one?

No to #504 - this ticket is for A6 and has been delivered.

This is A8 which supersedes it. The full name is in the heading of the ticket. I dont have the hardware to compare but looks the same as your link. Thanks

I can help with Medtrum A9 (probably compatible with nani A8), any docs how to get started?
