menu scroll click vs external link click #3

linking to sections of the docs via an external url causes the page to scroll to that section (by design)

however using the side menu causes the page to scroll to that section.

when scrolling via the menu the page stops with the section in the middle of the screen, this needs to work the same as an external link.
