I tired setting up the theme but the background nor the logo appear and every time I click on anything I keep getting the same error.

I ran ligthdm with
dm-tool add-nested-seat --screen 1200x800
so I could screenshot it and show the error. Sorry if im not very informative about the error im quite new at all of this but thought I could at least share the error... theme looks awesome btw!

What you're seeing is the testing platform for lightdm, rather than the actual lightdm daemon. The preview system is pretty thoroughly broken last I checked, but it should still work just fine once you actually enable and use it with sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm.

Remember that if you run into any issues, you can always bail out to the terminal itself with Ctrl + Alt + f2 (or f3 - f9)

Oh, i know im using it in testing rn but like i said i ran it with dm-tool add-nested-seat because i couldn't find a way to screenshot the actual lightdm login screen. The error im showing here i still get it running lightdm normally.

Were you able to get this working eventually? I would suggest that you test out other themes and see if you have the same issues otherwise just to make sure that this isn't a permissions issue.

I had the same thing. It got solved for me after renaming the theme directory from "Aeter" to "lightdm-webkit-theme-aether".
