OAAB_Data Release 1.16.0
We have a big release this month and a lot to cover! Everything from architecture, dungeon, clutter, creatures, items, and some extras. Not to mention a huge amount of optimizations and fixes all across the repository (big shout out to revenorror for a lot of that work). Hlaalu and Telvanni sets get a lot of attention this update but there's lots of other new things to get excited about so read on. I also want to highlight several new team members with this release! Axeljk, Corsair, Merlord, MwGek, and revenorror, welcome to the team!
P.S. OAAB_Cells is being updated for this release and I highly recommend checking it out as I have created several new cells to showcase the latest additions as well as adding all the relevant vanilla objects to them.

Architecture
Hlaalu
MwGek is the MVP this release for Hlaalu assets. He contributed everything from his mod of recent popularity, Balmora Waterworks, to OAAB_Data! This includes a brand new sewer set, new canal pieces, and some clutter.
Beyond the waterworks/sewer assets, there are a number of new Hlaalu assets sourced from several places. From Tamriel_Data, we have implemented the interior ledge set, stacking interior stairs, tapestries, oven, fireplace, kiln, and some miscellaneous exterior additions. We've also got some objects from BCoM that are being merged as well as a brand new well designed and modeled by R-Zero.
The Hlaalu ledge set is being showcased in Even Seedier Eight Plates by Lucevar.
Telvanni
The Telvanni additions for this update are mostly sourced from existing resources: Outlander, Resdayn Revival (RR), and Uvirith's Legacy Resources. But I couldn't help sneaking in a couple extras while I was working on them. And as usual, every asset has gone through some level of quality control to bring them up to modern quality standards.
For the exterior, we've got a lot of stuff from Outlander. Some root variants, new paths, and other goodies. But what I'm most excited about are the crystal lights from RR. According to some, they bring a spooky atmosphere to Telvanni areas with their blue crystalline glow. These pair very well the with the most recent update to Glow in the Dahrk which makes the Council Hall in Sadrith Mora glow with the same type of crystal used in these lights. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, but I look forward to seeing these show up in some mods.
On the interior side, we've got some select additions from the resources mentioned above which should be useful for your Telvanni escapades. And I snuck in a couple extras with a balcony kit and new circular floor piece for housepods.
Vivec
Nothing major, but the Vivec set sees a few additions with this update. The fancy new dock set from T_D has made its way into OAAB_Data as well as the specialized "wide" pieces from WulfShaman's new mod which were graciously donated to the repository.
Dungeon
Cave wall pieces
Made by Stripes, these are just two relatively simple objects, but they've got some great flexibility. They have loose grid snapping capability which makes them easy to build freeform cave systems with.
Daedric
I have intentions to deconstruct several more of the interior tile sets like I did with the dwemer set, but the first one I started taking a stab at last month was daedric with an expanded mezzanine/room set. The intention here is to allow more flexibility with the shape and size of rooms. You can see in the pictures below that you can even build structures with the kit. I tried to design it to be as flexible as I could while still sticking with the original design. I'm very curious to see what people come up with using this resource. I'm hoping to work on some more daedric assets soon.
Another thing taken from T_D are some broken pieces for the Azura and Sheogorath statues. Broken stuff is just great, isn't it? Obviously this means we need broken versions of the rest of the statues. Maybe in the next update...
This one's super minor, but this update brings variants of the daedric cave connect pieces for most of the cave tile sets. These may not be as necessary with stuff like the mezzanine kit above. But they'll be here if you need them!
Dwemer
The dwemer set has already gotten a lot of attention in previous updates, so we don't have much this time around. But a wall support for the scaffold set was requested, so here it is!
Velothi
For Velothi, we've got a few new things from T_D. Nothing earth shattering, but some very useful little pieces. Check them all out in the OAAB_Velothi cell of the OAAB_Cells.esp.
Clutter
Ashfall additions
Ashfall and OAAB_Data have teamed up to bring a lot of Ashfall assets into OAAB_Data! Now modders can easily place many Ashfall items into their mods without being explicitly dependent on Ashfall. But once some interops get updated within Ashfall, these new objects will automatically have Ashfall functionality where applicable.
Also shown here due to the relevance is a new redware kettle I made with Ashfall compatibility in mind for this update.
Dunmer furniture additions
There will always be room for more dunmer furniture. And we have a few interesting additions in this update. I made some new macrame-style tapestries for those of you who like getting into the extra detail with your cluttering projects. I also added a chonky winerack for the dunmer middle class set and a fancy bonsai planter. And last but not least: hammocks with rugs! For those extra comfy interiors. I also made a new hammock sleep animation which will be used by Ashfall. Expect an interop for the hammocks in OAAB_Data soon so you can sleep in these as well!
And just recently, MwGek tossed in a pair of open chests for even more detail-oriented modders who want to actually fill a chest rather than just give it a leveled list and call it a day. Are you crazy!?
Last but not least, I could not resist grabbing these beautiful new dunmer banners made by Rats over at Tamriel Rebuilt. They offer a fresh variety of signage for various establishments in a skillfully vanilla style.
Fresh corpse pieces
It may be macabre, but this is one of the additions in this update that I'm most excited about. This takes the fresh corpse from 1.12.0 and cuts it up into pieces so you can pose it into whatever position your particular scene requires. Or scatter the pieces around in a gruesome scene of death and mayhem (they work just fine individually). This has been on my to do list ever since I added the corpses so I'm happy this could finally come to life (hah) in this update.
Net partitions
These are actually from Uvirith's Legacy, but they're not exclusively Telvanni in design, so they've been branded with the DeDocks set for OAAB_Data. Below you can see some examples of how they could be used. I updated them so they could easily be rotated into circular formations or used singly. The choice is yours.
Miscellaneous clutter additions
Then we've got a bunch of useful but minor additions which will help flesh out a variety of locations. Makeshift planters out of barrels of dirt? Imperial cult gardens? Alchemist shop decorations? Fighters guild armory? So many choices with these assets!
Creatures
Glowbugs
Glowbugs! The plan all along has been for me to merge the glowbug asset into OAAB_Data so that it'd be easy for other modders to decorate scenes with them or place their thoraxes in alchemist shops (among hanging herbs?). A cave lit by blue motes of light floating serenely in the air? That could be you after this update!
Zombie variants
We were just talking about corpses, and 1.15.0 added zombies based on the corpse model. But what's the fun of just one type of zombie? Well now we have headless and armless zombies! Perfect for the necromantic lair.
Argonian skeletons
This is a super cool thing that was recently added to T_D. This is not just the undead creatures but also corpse containers and static skeleton pieces. Everything you need to depict dead property. I mean Argonians...
Storm Monarch
You've heard of Atronachs, but have you heard of Atronach Monarchs? Are they the final form of atronachs? Who can say, but they're more powerful and extremely rare. The storm monarch features incredible visual effects thanks to the extremely talented Kurpolio. And I decided not to stop at just rigging it to the storm atronach skeleton but stretched my animating skills to give it some custom attacks and idles (like raising his fist to be struck by lightning and ripping the gigantic portal frame off of his back to pound you into the ground). I actually designed this big guy for an upcoming mod which overhauls Magas Volar so stay tuned to see him in game sometime before 2090, hopefully!
The storm monarch also drops a new object called void essence which can be equipped for a one time effect. This is actually a potion but uses the MiscPotion lua included in OAAB_Data to override the potion sounds if you use MWSE.
Iron Atronach
Developed in tandem with the storm monarch is the iron atronach. Daggerfall fans may be familiar with the name, but I took the design in a different direction; trying to make it look like it could fit into the TES3 club. Just like some of the other atronachs, he fashions an elemental sword for one of his attacks but this one's actually out of metal, so that's cool. One of his other attacks involves extending wolverine claws to rip into you. He's pretty metal, right?
The iron atronach is a source for a new ingredient called a "lodestone" made by R-Zero.
Skeleton Assassin
So some of you may recognize this bad boy. He's actually been in OAAB_Data for some time (I snuck him in for a cameo in OAAB Tel Mora); but in this update he's been optimized a bit and renamed as a "Skeleton Assassin" in keeping with the vanilla convention to use class names. He's just as nasty as before. But one other thing is new: you can loot his pauldrons now and get your very own Glass Assassin pauldrons. A must have for those fashionistas out there. The glass assassin, as I like to call him, is really intended as a fairly unique encounter. Making a glass mine and want to surprise the player? Summon the skeleton assassin to punish any player who dares to steal from it!
Items
Daedric Helm of Revelation
The Daedric Helm of Revelation featuring the Aspect of Azura has been merged into OAAB_Data with this update. So if you want to hide one in your mod, go ahead. Just remember that daedric equipment is extremely rare!
Slice of goros food
Goros is stuffed kwama forager. Maybe not what most Imperial citizens would consider a delicacy (except wood elves, they're gross), but the locals eat it with gusto. But before you only had the option of placing an entire loaf down on the table. Now you can take a meaty slice of goros and slap it down on any obliging NPC's plate.
Extras
Improved lights
All lights in OAAB_Data have been updated to use the same guidelines established by Hemaris in his Improved Lights mod. This fix is targeted at both MGE XE and OpenMW games but you'll especially appreciate this on the OpenMW side with some of the new lighting shaders coming out. So OAAB lights are looking fine!
Also relevant: my Dunmer Lanterns Replacer now has an OAAB_Data patch! So be sure to grab that if you use DLR.
Better Crystals Patch
While working on this update, I became aware of a very neat replacer for the wizard crystals by Nelldrak. I highly recommend you check it out and if you're using it, be sure to install this patch so the OAAB_Data crystals will match!
Glass Glowset Patch
I got a comment on the Undead Glass Berserker mod page recently asking for a glass glowset patch. So obviously with that mod being made dependent on OAAB_Data, I decided to just make a patch for all the glass stuff in OAAB_Data. I don't personally use this mod, but it's pretty flashy. So if it's one you like, you're welcome!
Tons of optimizations and fixes
This final statement cannot be overstated. This update brings a lot of fixes and optimizations with it. I started my crusade to fix bad normals (of which there were an embarrassing number!). So a lot of models have received attention in that regard. So expect better lighting behavior with a lot of models. Revenorror has pushed fixes for lots of models since the last update fixing everything from collision, to combing shapes, to fixing UVs, and other optimizations.
