[QUESTION] A couple of questions about some parts of code

I'm using base_multi_company and also product_multi_company and partner_multi_company on odoo14 and I have couple of questions about some parts of code a bit obscure to me:

1. Why on base_multi_company the original rule is restored with active=False?

   Shouldn't be True?

2. Can someone explain to me the logic in:
   https://github.com/OCA/multi-company/blob/14.0/partner_multi_company/models/res_partner.py#L43
   and why this same logic is not implemented on product_multi_company?
