odata >8.0.4 apply=groupby and orderby (to get distinct values) throws exception

Describe the bug
To receive distinct values we are using following query:
https://localhost:5001/odata/vadressen/?$apply=groupby((adressId))&$top=50&$orderby=adressId

When using ASP.NET Core OData greater than 8.0.4 then an exception ist thrown:
