Graphical representation of the issue in 9.5.8. usbstream device is not found or not working.

Input-QSSTV

Output can select the IEC958 device:

Output-QSSTV

I am running Rocky Linux 8 and the package I have tried is a personal rebuild of the Fedora 35 source-RPM for EL8. If I start Fedora 36 as a virtual-machine in VirtualBox and connect through to the FT-991A, the same error is present.

Older versions certainly worked as I have used QSSTV with gpredict managing the doppler-shift to receive SSTV images from the International Space Station.

Example settings from WSJT-X. Setting alsa_output for the TI USB codec no longer seems to work in either WSJT-X or JS8CALL.

The alsa_input option is missing from QSSTV for RPM builds.

Possible work around. Set the Pulse mixer to use the USB Codec as its input, then set QSSTV to use PulseAudio. Start the receiver, and audio from the FT-991A shows up.
