OctaForge contains portions of source code from other projects, including:
- OctaScript - NCSA licensed, created by Daniel "q66" Kolesa
- Tesseract - created by Lee 'eihrul' Salzman, see src/readme_tesseract.txt
- Cube 2/Sauerbraten - see src/readme_sauerbraten.txt
The engine is originally based on the Syntensity project by Alon "kripken" Zakai, but modern OctaForge no longer contains Syntensity code.
Additionally, some code is taken from (or is inspired by) the Lamiae RPG engine by Kevin 'Hirato Kirata' Meyer, mostly in the UI part (zlib licensed).
Special thanks to Lee "eihrul" Salzman for the help with the Cube 2/Tesseract codebase and moral support.
