Prerequisites

  • I have searched open and closed issues to make sure it isn't already requested
  • I have written a descriptive issue title
  • I have linked the original source of this feature request
  • I have tagged the issue appropriately (area/*, kind/enhancement)

The enhancement

When server nodes are continually shot and recreated - either part of auto scaling or upgrades, the configuration->nodes page grows and grows, and becomes unusable.

Some customers have worked around this by editing the database and deleting records, however this is not recommended, as it causes issues with audit trails.

We should add a filter dropdown, similar to the tasks page, which defaults to showing "recently active" nodes, but allows you to see other states as well.

We should probably have options:

  • Recently Active => Running + Draining + Drained + seen in the last hour
  • Running
  • Draining
  • Drained
  • Offline

Workarounds

At the moment, there aren't a lot of workarounds, but as its just a case of "too much data being shown", its not preventing anything.
