Prerequisites

  • I have searched open and closed issues to make sure it isn't already requested
  • I have written a descriptive issue title
  • I have linked the original source of this feature request
  • I have tagged the issue appropriately (area/*, kind/enhancement)

The enhancement

After a release has been created it's variables can be updated, however it's package metadata cannot.

Similar to the way variables can be updated, it should be possible for user to update package metadata. This would have the effect of also re-evaluating the release notes, based on the release notes template.

Workarounds

The only workaround to this at the moment is to delete the release a recreate it.
