Prerequisites

  • I have searched open and closed issues to make sure it isn't already requested
  • I have discussed this in #feature-discussion or #backlog and the consensus is that this is something we plan on adding in the near future
  • I have written a descriptive issue title
  • I have linked the original source of this feature request
  • I have tagged the issue appropriately (area/*, kind/enhancement)

The enhancement

What is the problem this solves or benefit it gives

In standard package steps you can turn on the PowerShell Edition feature which allows you to control which edition of PS is used during deployments, however this feature has not been added to the Deploy a Service Fabric App step.

Proposed solution

Add PowerShell Edition as a configurable feature to the Service Fabric step.

We have flagged this as an issue with product, but at this point we do not have capacity to assign an engineer to resolve the issue. We'll keep the issue open, but unfortunately we can not provide any guidance as to when it will be resolved.
