What happened?

During the Git checkout process some files in the .git directory are created which are marked by the OS as READ_ONLY. Cleaning up files using the standard retention process then crashes trying to clean them up.

Reproduction

Connect a project to a Git repository and force or wait for the retention process to kick in and try to remove the cache
