ANSI encoding has been incorporated into the development branch. However, it currently only supports the Bijoy 2000 format, whereas adding support for the Bijoy 52 ANSI format was deemed more crucial and necessary. This is because nearly 95% of Ansi users employ the Bijoy 52 version. Nevertheless, the existing version must also be retained as it is required for Kalpurush and OmicronLab's ANSI fonts. In this scenario, the Encoding setting can offer three options: Unicode, ANSI1, and ANSI2.
