I like the idea of open hunt, but I feel like it's going to be spammed to death every day, I think they're should be a cap to how many products can be submitted a day, just so that good products don't get left to the very bottom of 500x products

There is a suggestion regarding a karma system which would help with this #9, perhaps the two ideas can be linked as a reward tier.

Possibly more karma === ability to break post block per day?

Not sure, my idea is rather a block for everyone (so only like the first 25 could post their product a day, or the first 25 + 5 curated picks from overflow)

I think a user level cap would be better and more fair, something like Dribbble.

Agree with @nblackburn. If we restrict to the first 25 posts, we're taking away incentives and privileges for people who invest time and energy into the platform, who also happen to be very valuable users to the team. We need to reward early adopters to keep the momentum going.

A user level cap sort of idea that gives users with more karma more posts while not restricting new users from posting will be great.
