I don't know if you have planned some, but I could not find any caption for the Figures in this module. I think having a wordy description would help everyone's comprehension when taking the course, but most importantly, the audio description will make it even more accessible to more people.

Aha, yes, these will need to be added in at some point. Probably easiest on Eliademy again, at this point. Will make sure to include all references etc at the time.

All of the text content being created atm will be converted into audio/video too, like for previous modules. Whoop! :)

@SamGuay @Protohedgehog Sam, great spotting this - we definitely need captions and alt text for images :) (see accessibility, etc )

How about we create a metadata sheet in the images folder (simple md file, either plain text or a table) that lists each image with corresponding meta info, including caption, alt text and title. Could begin setting this up later this afternoon ...

I was thinking sth. like this:

file title alt text caption
OAlogo.jpg Open Access Logo Official Open Access Logo: open lock in orange on white background Open Access Logo

EDIT: alt text doesn't have to be that descriptive, of course - just for illustration's sake... :)

Seems like an excellent idea, thanks @tosteiner!

Hum, by the by - don't really know if eliademy allows adding all of these meta elements... do you happen to know, Jon?
