While testing for this issue filed over at openshot-qt repo, I ran into this crash. It seems it was libopenshot that was crashing, and not OpenShot. That is why I am filing it here.

Steps to (possibly) reproduce:

  1. Try to import the files in the following tar.gz archive (a bunch of .pngs without transparency) as image sequence into OpenShot.
    tardispngs.tar.gz
  2. CRASH!

Logs:
libopenshot.log
openshot-qt.log

Possible causes:
I think it might be because of the naming scheme. I had bumped into other issues over at openshot-qt repo that talked about certain file naming patterns crashing OpenShot. So, this one might be just that, too.

Update #1: It is probably not because of the naming scheme. I just renamed everything to %03d.png format. And it still crashed on me.

Logs, again:
libopenshot.log
openshot-qt.log
