Java no longer works after an OSMC system update on a Raspberry Pi 3 #225
Comments
Hi, |
@alllexx88 Thanks for looking into this! In case it helps, I noticed that openjdk7 works fine, only opendk8 seems to be affected. I am now running with openjdk7 and everything works fine. |
@khinsen Hmm, I'm surprised openjdk7 works fine for you. On my armv7 router (buildroot-armeabi-ng feed) bubbleupnpserver crashes with the same error a while after startup using openjdk7. Funny 😃 |
I think this should be fixed with f2cd525. Please test, fixed openjdk8 version |
Sorry for the delay. I just did a fresh install of LibreElec and then added Optware-ng plus Java 8. Works fine. Thanks! |
@khinsen Great, thanks for the feedback 😃 |
I am using a couple of packages from optware-ng on my Raspberry Pi running OSMC. In particular BubbleUPnPServer, which requires the Java runtime. I also use MinimServer, installed by hand, using the same Java runtime.
After a recent OSMC update, the Java runtime and thus both BubbleUPnPServer and MinimServer stopped working. I tried re-installing optware-ng (delete /opt and reinstall), but that changes nothing. The detailed error log obtained from starting MinimServer follows below.
