@tomvd, I should have seen this one coming.
Players who only use Gastronomy get surprised by the restaurant being closed by default. It's not a common RimWorld concept that something doesn't work right away after building.

I would say the same goes for Storefront, if someone doesn't use Gastronomy.

Concerning solutions I'm thinking maybe we can somehow make it more obvious when everything on a register is closed (and it won't so anything).
Alternatively, the default could be "open" if there's only one mod that uses the register.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking maybe an icon over the register when it's closed.
