To anyone interested in developing the code for a manageable PR:

In the @note section of each function document, it would be nice to have standard declaration of the permissions required of the API user. The content is already written and available in the server's API help pages. Here's the relevant text from Import Metadata (Data Dictionary).

Permissions Required
To use this method, you must have API Import/Update privileges and Project Design/Setup privileges in the project.
