Add version number in changelog.txt

Hi.

This might be a surprising request, but could you add the version number in the changelog file ?

If you want to know why I'm asking, read on...

I'm the maintainer of the PHPExcel Drupal module. What this module does is basically provide a wrapper for your (amazing) PHPExcel library, so Drupal developers can easily export or import Excel files in a Drupal-friendly manner. It also provides a UI for some advanced settings (like the cache).

However, the way this works is that it requires a version number (my module doesn't use it, but the system needs it to include the code on the fly). This is provided through a simple regular expression that checks your changelog file. This works fine with code downloaded from Codeplex, but some developers are now downloading the code from Github, which prevents the version from being detected... and the code from being included.
