Continuously prompted to restart

After customizing file associations in user settings, I'm prompted to restart VS Code every time I launch the application, and every time I open a new window.

Removing the associations removes the prompt.

Is there any way to keep the associations but without being prompted more than once? For now I've commented out the trigger, but I'll lose that on update.
