Sim Issue #18
Comments
Hi. Which Mate version ? |
NXT-L09. (Saw on XDA) this is a known issue. Should be fixed along with the next update |
Sorry I did not found it, so I wil wait it |
Alpha 5, NXT-L29. Both SIM cards do not work sometimes on boot (no network). Simple reboot fixes this. Is it known issue? |
Nope, never happened to my L-29. Did you flash the alpha 5 over a fully wiped device ? (factory reset, cache reset etc.) ? |
Yes, fully wiped + formatted data. |
Which TWRP version did you use ? |
I used twrp-3.0.2-0-next-modaco-rc3-emui41.img and TWRP-Cyanogen-NEXT alternately till one of these worked. I think 3.0.2 worked and is now installed. |
Latest OTA since end of March and no issue with SIM detection so far. |
Issue has started to happen again. Sometimes one reboot is not enough and there are 2-3 reboots required. I've also tested with xposed disabled but no change. |
Hi, As above, I have a NXT-L09 and it cannot find the sim, the info is as follows Mate 8 NXT-L09 |
Did you use the lineage twrp as recommended? |
I used TWRP for emui 4.1 to flash it originally, then the data wouldnt format so i used the image from the FAQ to format it, and that hasnt made any change, else you are talking about something else thats not in the OP? |
You must use the TWRP in OP/FAQ to flash the ROM, I had trouble with simcard with others TWRP Too. |
Tried flashing with the required recovery, did a full wipe and data format, and it still boots fine, shows my service providers name in the top left but still not able to select the sim ( Spelling is terrible on a phone when half drunk! ), other than that at the top left is says no sim then the service providers name, when i look in the sims menu in the settings is shows no sims at all, when I try to send message or calls a menu shows up "select sim" with no entries |
I have the same Issue with the SIM Card on a NXT-L09, read the whole thread and followed instructions to the letter, so installation of this awesome ROM was correct, I even managed to flash the 5.1 update which by the way I had to unzip twice in order to be able to flash. |
Hi guys, thanks for all the details ! The signal/SIM issue is known fo the L-09 variant since a while but I never could really focus on it. This variant has (and has'nt) some essential proprietaries in the stock to initialize RIL properly. So I need to make something like "a prop switcher" on boot. I'm currently working on and when it will be ready, I will need some L-09 and AL-10 testers. |
Just realized a typo, I meant: CAN'T make calls. (Maybe) Unrelated to SIM comment: 5.1 update got my mate very hot. Thanks a lot Paul, I'll be on the lookout. |
Try to give me a logcat and a logcat -b radio dump |
Will do , as son as I reflash the ROM and Google how to do that, bare with me please... |
heres the logcat -b radio on lineage 5.0 when trying to make a call (no sim detected) simState=READY ordinal=5 |
I also found another issue, its a launcher Issue and aparently it was present on 5.1, it would show 2 launcher on top of eachother eventhough I had selected 1 as a default, and also the phone would get very hot! Will open another issue as soon as I reflash 5.1 update and can replicate the error, will give you logcat and b radio logcat, hopefully later today when get back home. Thank a lot and let me know if the above logcat is useful or if you require anything else. |
Hey chicoready, you should probably open a new ticket for that issue, I hope that progress is going well for the developer! |
Hey Matrox, I couldnt replicate the issue, the phone didnt get hot again and didnt run into launcher issues anymore. |
I installed the rom but I haveno sim card detected,
I have:
Anadroid 6.0.1
MIUI 4.1
kernel 3.10.90-g22b72ae
Alph 5 lineage
