Can you change repo to maven centre, I can't import to my project

I was having problems too, I added this

maven { url 'https://jitpack.io' }

to settings.gradle and it worked.

This is the first and only Android library which required to change settings.gradle file - during 7 years of my work. And none of StackOverflow answers mention this file, just the usual build.gradle
