quests player data reset #2046
Comments
Thanks for the report. Were you using YAML (default) or MySQL? Any server logs you can attach for review? |
I have the same problem and I'm using YAML. I also checked the logs and there are nothing that looks out of the ordinary. I wonder if maybe somehow Quests doesn't save the data correctly or it gets damaged or mixed up in another way and so it regenerates the Player's data. Maybe Creating a BackUp and load it in case the Plugin finds damaged data could fix this? |
Backups are always recommended, but are outside the scope of Quests. There are plenty of resources capable of this. Tagging as |
Closing due to lack of response from OP and my being unable to replicate. Feel free to open a new ticket should the issue occur again on the latest version of Quests. |
What is your Quests version / build number (do not say "latest")?
Quests 4.6.1-b373
Describe the problem and how to replicate it.
I have hundreads of quests on my server, and it is a main function of the server.
I found that all player data was reset randomly after a restart with no changes to the plugin. It just deleted it, and I can not locate the actual error or if one occured at all. Players had 50+ quests done, and now they have 0 completed. Everything was wiped, for no apparent reason.
Any console errors to share?
If applicable, can you provide an example quest from quests.yml?
