@soldair said I should post this here

My first new lead scout in my first troop had issues connecting to the wifi during it's setup in the hq. As a result I never got to the next screen. When I closed the setup window, the scout and troop didn't display. I had to refresh the screen to get access to them.

After refresh it worked and I started to get the walkthrough. However they blipped offline and the walkthrough stopped making any sense. =p

My home wifi provided by verizon fios is really bad. The DHCP server is super slow (about 3-5 seconds) and devices tend to have to reconnect on the wifi level from time to time. Bad for watching netflix on my roku but good for stress testing a bad wifi environment.

cool! =) i love good tests have a moment for irc? #pinoccio on freenode?

if you pinoccio serial
you can run wifi.report to check the connection status wifi.list to see access points
wifi.reassociate to force a reconnect https://docs.pinocc.io/scoutcommands.html#lead-scout

ok totally understand! thanks so much for letting me know and helping me with issues! if you get a chance / courage to play again.. be close to the router, delete your current troop, and just try to go through the setup flow again. if you end up running any commands the wifi.status output would be valuable.

if its configured like you said you should just be able to walk over and put it on top of the router and flip the switch off/on and check HQ its a silly test kinda but at least we would know if its just interferance

I don't think it's interference, I think it's just a bad router. I did get it talking most of the time.
