We do not yet explain the relationship of LinkTools to other tools for record linkage sufficiently: Doing so would make the relevance of our contribution clearer.
At this stage, we have a focus to support workflows to realize deterministic data linkage, because the data we predominantly work with and that we publish is not very well suitable for the probabilistic approach: Wikidata IDs falsely assigned to political actors would undermine the trust the data receives.
Yet when and how can we use (existing) tools for probabilistic record linkage?
