Fabric Mod Loader version? #16
Comments
Cubic Chunks will support both Fabric and Forge, at release (that's the plan at present, anyway; subject to change depending on what happens with the mod loader ecosystem) |
as i haven't spent any time whatsoever looking at 1.13+ modloaders, i'm not currently in a position to make any statements as to which modloader(s) i'll be targeting. given the rate at which they seem to be popping up, it seems entirely feasable that 3 modloaders might have come and gone before i'm ready to update beyond 1.12.2. basically i'm not making any decisions until it's actually time for an update and i've had time to look at my options in detail. |
Could you add this to the FAQ please? I think you could probably avoid many future issues popping up if you add something along the lines of "Im unsure which mod loaders I will target once I start developing for the newest version" to the FAQ. |
good idea, i just did. |
Alright, thank you, and keep up your great work! |
Hey, I'm just checking to see if there are any updates/progress with a fabric port of the mod. If there have been any bottlenecks in implementing let me know. |
Very good progress is being made on a Forge 1.16 port, and when that’s done it will start being ported to everything else |
Yours comments reminded me about this project and I think Distant Horizons mod tries to achieve the same. @DaMatrix maybe You could join forces and if possible merge both projects? |
I read the FAQ and I know that when the 1.12 version of this mod gets stable you will probably start to work on the latest mc version, which could be 1.17/18. Considering OpenCubicChunks is being developed for Fabric 1.17 instead of Forge (the devs stated they aren't entirely sure about this yet) I wanted to ask what are your thoughts/plans?
