there are times when customers are not able to do something on their account or process an order

How about integrating a button on the client page to access the front office in the client's account?

I don't know about the legal term but IMHO it's a kind of invasion of privacy.

Right now this is a new feature that I don't know if it's on the Prestashop road map.
But there're modules that can do it on Addons Prestashop.
