I've tried putting the script in the header and at the end of the body. re-arranged the order of loading other scripts in about every way imaginable and I'm still not seeing the fix.

It's working on http://prinzhorn.github.io/skrollr/ at least with IE9 in compatibility mode. Can you confirm that it's not working in a "real" IE8?

If it's working there, than show your code.

Interesting. When I use IE8 on a work computer, the opacity doesn't work (on your example or mine. just tried at home on browserstack and yours worked).

Here's the problem I'm seeing (notice i've scrolled down). What do you need to know about this particular IE install? There's no JS errors or anything either.

Verify if the conditional comments work correctly. I.e. remove them locally and include the ie plugin all the time.

conditionals are working. There's something weird about the version of IE installed on my machine.
