error 20100 with action replay code

ok so i used the wfcreplay code maker to get a code for my game ive used pokemon heart gold and pokemon pearl and both have gave me the error code 20100 i double checked my wifi settings and i have tried a patched rom and that works perfectly i just want to be able to use my real copys to play it any ideas on how to fix this issue? does the rom have to be ripped from my retail copy of the game?

I've tried Pearl (EU) with a WfcReplay code using akmenu and it worked perfectly. Are you still having this issue? What region are your Pokémon games and which codes did you use?

The ROM usually does not have to be ripped from your own copy of the game, any ROM with the same region/version should work it. ROM revisions CAN throw things off though so if you have the means to dump your own ROM I would recommend you do.

does this work if you're using a flashcart on your 3ds? patching my days of ruin rom (a game on the official compatibility list) makes it unable to load, and using the cheat and setting up my wifi properly doesn't actually take me anywhere when i choose to play worldwide (just a long wait before error message 20100)

that usually means the DNS is set wrong.
