Hi, the installation guide for Sony Xperia 5 ii (PDX206) will cause the device bricked.
For the Step 4, with only flashing recovery will causes the recovery image of slot A and slot B different , when rebooting into recovery the device will immediately become bricked and keep boot loop on the splash screen states Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot. Your device will be powered off in 5 seconds.

It will keep repeats as long as the cable is plugged in to the phone.

Unable to boot into Fastboot and Flash Mode , suspecting this somehow breaks the XBL (refer to the screenshot attached)

Hi. Looks like you have not unlocked the bootloader properly. It works here just fine. We are switching to pixelos recovery since qpr2 anyway due to bootloop issues.
